So this is a story my mom told me from before I was born, she had a 1981 Honda Accord 3-door Hatch in burgundy. Sometime after her and my dads wedding she went to take her car to the dealership to get fixed, she stopped at the stoplight in front of the dealership and the car caught fire. What better place for your car to catch fire?!? So some salesmen helped her put out the fire and push the car onto the car lot. Long story short a few days later she no longer a had a burgundy accord hatchback and was the new owner of a 1992 Rosewood Brown Metallic Honda Accord LX sedan, that sedan was given to my grandma when she couldnt drive her 82 accord sedan anymore because the manual trans was hard on her arthritis, she drove it until she stopped driving in 2004, it sat in disrepair until we used it as a trade in along with my dads old 94 accord wagon [ !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ] for a new 2005 CRV. When we gave my grandma the 92 accord my mom had just bought a 2000 Honda Odyssey EX, she still has it with just under 92k miles.
P.S.- neither pic in this article is of the actual cars, just the closest pics I could find on google

Nice Story! That is the best place to catch on fire though.

well the 92 accord had a rats nest in it so that went to be recycled and the wagon had over 140k miles on it so that went to parts. I was at an age where I was not told about things like this but I guess at most half the cost of the CRV, I know they payed just over 25k for it

I was talking about the one that burst into flames at the dealership. "well, it was just fine until I got here, you know!"

Oh probably 500 in 92, the dealership got a good deal, I think, they got an extra feature, an external combustion engine

I had an '81 Accord Hatch, same color, as my 2nd car - learned to drive stick on it.
One day I was hanging out with my friends and had the hood open (opens forward like a 'vette). I revved it up and one of the alternator fins shot through the fucking hood. It was bad ass, and thankfully no one was maimed or killed .
